Great Time @ Holiday Card Workshop

Wow!  I had a great time on Small Business Saturday @ David’s Reedley!  My Holiday Card Workshop is a lot of fun, no pressure whatsoever, just friends getting together to see the quality of cards, and ideas of how I have used the service.

I know that a few of you missed the first session because of fog. Now the great news is, if you missed this event, its not too late to gather a few of your friends at your home, and I can come and share it with you!  I promise you will not want to miss out on seeing this!  It really is a great bargain, and I don’t think we send enough love out into the world anymore.  With this service, you can afford to!

Also, if you are in a crunch and just need help with your Christmas Card list, just send me your contact list, and I will put together some samples for you to look at!  If we hurry, I can get a sample sent to you first before we push the button for all of your cards to go out.

Have a great week, and good luck on cyber Monday!  ;-)

Never doubt the power of a simple Greeting Card!

Never doubt the power of a simple Greeting Card!

I came across an email from another distributor with Send Out Cards who is in Senior Management. It was the story of an email he had actually received and it sends such a powerful message. Please take just a moment to read the story. Names have been changed to protect the innocent! ;-)

    ****************************************************

I frequently use a stock card in the SendOutCards system to thank people for good service or a job-well-done. It is a green card with A+ on the front.

Wilma and I use toothpaste from XYZ and I had received a forwarded postcard from XYZ reminding me that it was time to reorder. Since we had moved and I needed to update my shipping information with them, I decided to call instead of ordering online.

A customer service rep answered the phone and was very polite and helpful. In addition, she gave me some product information that I needed and she offered to put a product catalog in with my order. I asked for her name and a mailing address at the company. After getting off the phone with her, I wrote a card to Barney Pfeif, owner of the company, and told him what a pleasant experience it was dealing with the lady on the phone and told him what great great customer service skills she had. I sent him a box of brownies and asked him to share them with her for her excellent service.

Today, I received a phone call from a tearful lady who thanked me profusely for my card. She told me that she had received a 30 day notice that she would be let go because she had made errors on orders in the past. Instead of being fired, today, she had received my card and brownies from Barney Pfeif’s administrative assistant and had been told that she would not be let go.

This day began with sadness, because I had just had our yellow lab put down due to failing health. My tears of sadness were replaced with tears of joy for this lady who would now have a Happy Thanksgiving and Holiday Season.

Never doubt the power of a simple greeting card.!

    Fred

Isn’t that just an incredible story? How would you like to have been that lady whose job was saved?

We don’t thank people enough, or act on our thoughts of how special someone has made us feel.

I love working with Send Out Cards, and I would be honored to show you how simple it is to reach out and send love almost daily to those who have touched you in some meaningful manner.

Have a great evening, and spread some love and joy! We all need it!

Small Business Saturday – Who will you support?

Small Business Saturday will be on November 26th!  Who will you support?

Now more than ever it is important to support our local “Small Business” establishments.  I once owned a couple of brick and mortar businesses in a small town, and I know how important it is to support “Local”.

Have you thought about who you will support on “Small Business Saturday”?

I have put together a “Holiday Card Workshop” in support of a local business for “Small Business Saturday”.  I would love it if you would join us!  We are going to have a great time together, and many will have their Christmas List complete before they leave!

We will be at David’s Reedley located at 1034 “G” Street, Reedley, CA  93654

Take a look at the flyer below for details.  ;-)

Referrals from your Christmas Card List Tips ;-)

Referrals from your Christmas Card List…..we all want that right?  We wouldn’t be sending them if we didn’t.

Well, I ran across this article  from a friend, and I just had to share it!

It is so interesting how you can tweek just a couple of things and get the results you are after. ;-)

6 Tips to Get More Referrals From Business Christmas Cards

The holidays are the one time of year everyone thinks about sending greeting cards. This time of year is also one of the most important times of year to send cards. These tips will help you get more referrals from your cards and avoid some common mistakes.

            1. First and foremost business Christmas cards tend to go on display more than any other cards you send.

It doesn’t matter if you send cards to other business professionals or to consumers we all like to display our them during the Holidays. We may put them on the office shelf, the office door, the cubicle wall, or our consumer clients will place them on the fireplace mantle, refrigerator, or book shelves.

Because our cards go on display we want to take extra special care and make them really stand out. This simple strategy is one of the easiest to ensure we get more referrals.

            2. Whatever you do, don’t be boring with your business Christmas cards.

Boring store bought cards won’t ever be picked up and examined. I recommend putting extra special attention into creating a fun and unique custom Christmas card. You can use technology like Send Out Cards to make a fun card with your photos. Use a photo of the staff having fun instead of a simple logo. Human nature is that we’re attracted to photos of people, especially if we are in the photos or know the people in the photos.

If you make it boring, no one is going to pick it up and ask “Who is this from?” How many opportunities like this do you get for a referral if you send a boring store bought Holiday card?3. Send your cards early. Don’t wait until the last minute!

What happens during the Holidays? Holiday parties! If your Christmas card is first, and it is fun and interesting, it will definitely go on display. When people come over for the Holiday party many more of them will see your card and have an opportunity to pick it up. If you send it late there may not be any room left on the shelf for your card. Not only that, but it may arrive after the Holiday parties are all done. By procrastinating and sending your card late you will have missed an opportunity for free referrals.

            4. Send yourself a test card NOW.

Since we’re talking about custom business Christmas cards it is important to send yourself a test now. Don’t wait until the last minute. That way you have an opportunity to proof it and make changes before you send it to your clients. There is nothing worse than sending out 300 custom Christmas cards to clients only to realize you had an obvious misspelling or that your photos don’t print correctly.

            5. You’ll have a lot more chances that your card will go on display if you use a vertical design instead of a horizontal one.

Since Christmas cards tend to go on display you want to make sure you don’t use a horizontal design. Since horizontal cards tend to fall over easily they won’t go on display as long. Additionally you can fit more vertical cards on a bookshelf or fireplace mantle so you’ll have greater chances of it being selected to go on display.

            6. Don’t ask for referrals in your business Christmas cards.

If you ask for referrals in my Christmas card I know you really didn’t “care” about me. I know you’re only sending me this to try to get more referrals.
